African Indawo Compatible Artwork

Against your print specifications we will check that:

• Size of the artwork corresponds with the specs.
  
  
• Whether or not the artwork should “bleed” (5 mm) off the edge/s of the page.
  
  
• There are no crop lines or borders (indicating artwork size) impending on the cut line.
  
  
• The documents have the correct number of pages.
  
  
• Text is converted to paths/curves in open files, or fonts need to be forwarded / included.
  
  
• All color images are in cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) and not RGB or Pantone colors
  which makes a difference to the costing.
  
  
• If spot colors are required, that they are custom or specified Pantone colors, not CMYK.
  
  
• All spot colors are specified.

Print Ready Artwork

• Allow 5 mm bleed on all sides where images must be cropped on the edges
  
  
• Convert RGB to CMYK and convert spot colors to CMYK if the colors are not corporate and the job is
  required in CMYK
  
  
• PDF files should have fonts & images embedded
  
  
• CDR files should have fonts embedded or converted to curves
  
  
• Bitmap (JPG) images should be at least 400 dpi* Set black text and fine lines to overprint
  
  
• Avoid using small text (below 7 pt) that is made up of more than one process color
  
  
• Avoid using small text (below 7 pt) that is white, reversed out of a background that is made up of
  more than one process color
  
  
• Text, logos etc. should be at least 5 mm away from the edge of the page.
  
  
• “MS Word, Powerpoint, Excell & other M S Office files are unfortunately not copatible printing formats"
